- Thoughtonomy outpaced eight impressive SMEs in the tight race for the prize
Thoughtonomy beat off strong competition in a head-to-head race for the Growth Champion of the Year accolade at the fourth annual Growth Investor Awards.
Commenting on the victory, James Perry, Thoughtonomy CFO said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our ability to drive strong organic growth and forge a strong footprint in a market where we compete with industry heavyweights. It is a testament to our whole team that we have consistently been able to punch above our weight.”
The Growth Champion of the Year award celebrates scale-up businesses and their founders. It is the highest accolade for the SMEs that have received venture capital funding and is open to any growing and productive UK-based company with a turnover of more than £3m in the last financial year. The judges looked at a range of factors to come to their choice, including how the investment was deployed to enable future growth, job creation, and regional and international expansion.
Guy Tolhurst, managing director of Intelligent Partnership, the organisers of the award commented:
“Thoughtonomy is a great scale-up success story and proof that how much investment you get is secondary, what you do with it is what really matters. By comparison with other finalists, the company fought with sticks and stones to win the growth race, bringing the biggest transformational opportunities of the 21st century.”
